Ringling applicants, we are excited to meet you! We look at yours.

If you’ve been preparing to choose from. Choose 10-15 examples that showcase you - your interests, creativity, and skill level. We've got a lot of fun. It is your choice.

Suggestions & Guidelines

Not sure what to include? Recommendations vary by major, so dive in!
Business of Art and Design

A resume or short written statement. More than 3 double-spaced pages, should be the following: This is a concept that relates to the business community. Documents for your personal expression. Personal creativity reflective of innovation, collaboration, and imagination. Provides examples of excellence in the arts and / or business. Examples may include:
Leading a business in the field of business and entrepreneurship. A personal history of creativity and accomplishment. You are interested in pursuing at Ringling College. Internships or creative experiences with businesses or organizations.

Although not required, applicants should not be required to submit a submission. You can incorporate the following: Design projects, creative, creative, creative, decks, design, print, video, multimedia, multimedia projects

Important to remember:
Do not copy from another artist. Avoid cliches like anime, tattoo designs, dragons, or unicorns. At least half of your portfolio should not consist of drawing from direct observation. Your ability to think of your sketchbook.

Note: The Computer Animation application deadline is January 15.

Creative Writing

You must be a creative writer.

Applicants should submit: Plays and Screenshots

Additionally, the applicants have been given the following three words: Your literary influences are specifically in terms of what you like. You are interested in pursuing at Ringling College. Anything else that supports your interest in Creative Writing.

Although not required, applicants should not be required to submit a submission. You can incorporate the following: Design projects Illustration and animation Photography, film, video, multimedia projects Paintings, drawings, sketches from observation

Creative Writing:

Film applicants You may submit both if you wish. Film brings together all the arts, including visual and performing arts, music, and writing — literature and storytelling.

You can incorporate the following in your visual art portfolio: Design projects Illustration and animation Photography, film, video, multimedia projects Paintings, drawings, sketches from observation

For the FILM portfolio: Tell us your story: if you are a writer, give an example (screenplay, stage play, short story, essay, poetry, or article)

Film:

Your portfolio is reviewed with your mind in mind. You can incorporate the following in your visual art portfolio: Design projects (logos, posters, books, sculpture, products, etc.) Illustration, animation, animation, film, video, multimedia projects designs

It is important to understand the diversity of the overall composition, regardless of medium. Make sure all your work is original!

What is a portfolio?

What if I don't have a portfolio?

If you have not yet put together your portfolio, don’t worry! We started your project. You come up with! Can I get feedback on my portfolio before I apply?
